Q: Anyone know how to turn off maintenance light on a 2003 Honda S2000?

A: 1. Put your key in 2. Hold down your trip button (don't let off) 3. While holding down the trip button turn your key to the on position. (do not start the car just to the on position) 4. Keep holding until the Maintenance light disappears. Not all but sometimes the instructions for this can be found in the owners manual for your car. Hope this helped. Oh! and don't ignore your required maintenance if it needs it get it done.

Q: Any problem with buying a car imported from Japan if it already has title/registration/insurance?
I am in California - the car is a 2003 Honda S2000 and already has registration, title and insurance in California - anything legal that i need to watch out for. I checked with the DMV and they said that as long as it's already registered and with a California title then all is well. Thanks! I ask because the feds say it needs an EPA and DOT certificate of some sort so it conflicts with the DMV...

A: The DMV, who would know, already gave you the correct answer. Why ask again? Ask here and people will just tell you to check with the DMV.

Q: what is wrong with my car? Why wont it start. more details inside, please help?
i have a 2003 Honda S2000, i was on my way to the store the other day when my car misfired and it turned off, i had enough momentum to make it into a parking lot, i tried turning my car on but it wont turn on, it sounds like its trying ot turn on but it doesnt, its not the battery because my radio turns on, i replaced my spark plugs, and my coal packs. if you need more details you can email me, thanks

A: Your battery can still have enough power to play the radio, but not deliver the power requirements of the engine. I would guess your alternator died while on the road, and your battery was left with just a little power. Take the alternator to a parts store to get it tested for free. If you're getting good spark, then its either an air or fuel problem, start working your way down the list. If your electrical system is fine, check your air intake, then your fuel system. A: Acura TSX 04 BMW 3series 02 Mazda Miata 06-07

A: s2000 it has the f20 vtec 2.0L

Q: Car Stolen in april 2007 with insurance from another state?
lived in FL, car stolen in FL, insurance was put on it in texas but since i took the loan, my name also had to be on the insurance and it was not. So the car got stolen i reported it to the insurance, they denied to cover for me because it is a misrepresentation of the company. because my name was not on it but the car was on the insurance and making payments on it. Now im stuck with a 24K written off loan on my credit, made verbal agreement to pay 40 a month for 1 year untill i can come up with 13K to settle. What are my options to avoid paying for this? Oh by the way they found the car only in what was left of it was a frame, 2003 honda s2000 and sold the car, next thing you know i got a letter in the mail of the bill and what is left for me to pay. they havent harrased me at all since i made a verbal agreement with them and have been paying, but i doubt i will be able to come up with 13K in less than 1 year n i have a child too and 2 other cars and a motorcycle. I was moving to texas in a few weeks but the unexpectancy of the car getting stolen set things back, i wouldnt call it fraud. i was moving to texas where i am now. its just that they didnt put my name on the insurance, the car had insurance and was being paid for, i just wasnt in that state at the time nor did they added my name. i have a police report of the car being stolen too, Cant believe they could actually sell a stolen car. wouldnt that show on the VIN #

A: Get A Lawyer!!!

Q: Should I trade in my baby??? (s2000)?
I am the very proud owner of a Honda s2000. It is completely stock with the exception of a 6 puck clutch, and it is simply the most amazing car i have ever owned. If you own one, you know what i'm talking about... If you have never driven one, you can't possibly understand what i'm talking about so don't bother making some stupid remark. It performs amazingly and I smoke just about anything that pulls up next to me (gotta love that 9,000 rpm redline!!!!) The problem is, I have 3 years of college left and I commute about 60 miles everyday. My car already has 102,000 miles on it. I just found a 2003 Mustang GT with only 8,000 miles, and they are asking $17,900!!! I know that the mustang wont preform as well as my s2000 and I will prob be disappointed with it unless I get some performance mods. What should I do?!?! I LOVE my car, but I'm not sure it will last me through college. NOTHING can compare to revving an s2000 up to 9,000 rpm. Serious comments only please!

A: I can see your dilema... I haven't driven a s2000, but I have read some articles that impressed me. With Honda's history of longevity, I would personally keep the Honda. While you are getting a Mustang that is almost new (by mileage), and it may have a certain amount of spunk and class, it's not as unique as the Honda. I remember in the late '60's, it was a joke... "Mustangs are like a**holes... everybody has one". Compared to your s2000, this is a fact. How often do you see another s2000 when you are cruising back and forth to school? If you do see one, you wave and they wave back and you share the uniqueness of your cars. Can't say that about every Mustang owner... and besides.. you would wear your arm out with limited replys back. Granted, your s2000 will probably be worn out when you graduate, but it will also be paid for... more money for all those student loans you have accumulated. Once you get settled in your new career, and you still want a Mustang, you can go get you a Shelby and have the resourses to pay for it. :-} Don't get me wrong... I am a Ford person from the word go... Own two of them now... a 56 F100 pickup and a 97 Expedition with 131000 miles on it. It all goes back to the old addage... "if it isn't broken, don't fix it!!!" Enjoy the Honda and then buy what you want when you graduate... Besides... HP to Weight... you will be sorely disapointed with the Mustang. Good luck in your educational endevours...

Q: What do women think about a 2003 BMW 530i M sport package?
I'm about to purchase a 2003 BMW 530i and was wondering what women think about this car. I was originally going to buy a 2005 Honda S2000 because I like sports cars and it's a sexy car, but which would you rather choose? I've always been into sports cars but the BMW is much more practical and still a sexy car....which is more attractive in your opinion ladies? I'm 50/50 so I need some thoughts so it makes my decision easier. Thanks!!!

A: Us women tend to be attracted to practical cars with a fun side. The BMW is much better. Besides, most women won't even know what a Honda S2000 is.

Q: which car should i get??
2003 Infiniti G35 Coupe or a 2000 Honda S2000 at about equal price

A: Hondas do not have a lot of torque. When you compare the torque of a Honda S2000 and a Nissan Sentra SE-R, the Nissan Sentra SE-R has more torque, so you do not get a lot for what you pay for it. You're much better off getting a 2003 Infiniti G35 coupe because it is more reliable, has more power and torque than the S2000, and it is more stylish.

Q: are you a Hott Girl that likes to RIDE?
if you are, then i would value hearing your opinion very much. =) im a decent looking guy in my early twenties, and i enjoy taking girls out on dates to nice places. i currently have a Mitsubishi Eclipse GT loaded with all the luxury options, but now im thinking about getting something more. i want something faster and more expensive, but theres so many nice cars out there that i like! so basically what i want to know is- what type of luxury sports car do YOU like? or if you had a boyfriend and he wanted to buy a "new" car, what would YOU want him to get? im not filthy rich, but i do have some money, so let's say the budget is $30,000 Max. obviously im not thinking brand new, but would like a car made within the past few years, probably 2003 or newer. a couple options that come to mind are: Corvette, Acura TL, and Honda S2000. but that's just brainstorming. if you have a better suggestion, i want to hear about it. also, i WONT buy a Mustang. =) Thank you ladies! Brandon

A: Buy a Plymouth Prowler and you will have every eye on you. The Nissan Z is also nice, but the Prowler is hot. You could also get a Harley...chicks flash guys on Harleys.

Q: Pick the car you would rather have and why you would want that one!?
Alright you have about 20,000 to spend on these cars. Pick which one you choose and why you would choose it. If you have any suggestions, im open to them! Basically, im looking for a fast coupe that looks nice too. Thanks guys Honda s2000-2000-2005 Nissan 300zx TT-1993-96 Nissan 350z-2004-2006 Toyota Celica- 2000-2004 Lexus is300- 2000-2004 Bmw m3 (2001-2003) a little more than $20,000 why the hell do i have a bunch of girls answering that dont know shiett about cars. "i looked cute in it" backhand yo azz nukka

A: I drove 3 of those cars. I would take the Honda S2000. The S2000 is the 2nd fastest. The fastest being the M3. 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and a tops peed of 155mph. The Honda is also the most reliable and it probably has the best handling. The Nissan 300zx is actually faster than the 350z, but I think it is ugly inside and out. I would not spend $20,000 on an old car. The Nissan 350z is one of the hardest cars to drive(6 speed manual.) It has more visibility when reversing. But it is very fun to drive and it is fast. 0-60 in 5.8 seconds and top speed if 155mph. The Toyota Celica is the slowest here. It is also reliable, but slow and FWD. It can't drift and it has the worst handling out of these cars. The Lexus IS300 has a nice ride, but it is too quiet and smooth for me. I would like to here the engine more often. This is faster than the Celica, but slower than the others. The BMW M3 is the quickest, but it has the same top speed as the 350z and S2000. It also had the same laptimes as the 350z and Mazda RX8. But, the M3 is most expensive to fix and the least reliable. Just incase you want an RX-8. This car is very easy to drive and it has lots of space for people to sit in the back. My dad(6 foot tall) fit in the back seats. It is very smooth on the road, but quick on the track. 0-60 in 5.9 seconds and top speed is also 155mph.

Q: Need help choosing a car!?
The amount I can spend is about 21k at the most. Since I about to be 18 and about to grad, I thought of getting my self a nice car for college. Here some of the car I thought of getting... 2003-350z mileage: 54,000 Cost: $17,700 2003- Lexus Is300 Mileage: 69,000 Cost: $16,900 2006-7 Civic Si Mileage: under 30k Cost: 18-21k As you can see, all car I wanted is stick drive. con of these are: 350z is a two seater, Is300 got high mileage, Civic Si is FWD. The car I really want the most is a G35 cause it a 4 seater, RWD, and it just plain SEXY but cant find one that stick drive and cheap. Only other honda car I like is S2000 but like the 350z, it a two seater. Which car should I choose? I know there other car out there but I just can't think of any, Please help! As long as it stick drive, it sexy and not FWD! (No BMW, heard maint on it is crazy!!)

A: folowing me, I choose 2003 350 Z milage 54.000 cost $ 17.700 because this car very sexy and beatiful type, good handling, and very good performent

Q: 2008 Accord Coupe 6M Shift Knob?
Are all honda manual shift knobs universal? I don't like the look of the shift knob (too tall....looks like driving a bus or something) on the new 2008 Accord Coupe and am looking to replace it with a titanium one that's available for the S2000 as an accessory.....or the one from RSX Type S. http://www.hondapartsdeals.com/product_info.php?pName=titanium-shift-knob-s2000 If so, how easy is it to do the job on my own? The shift knob on my old 2003 Maxima SE was as simple as twisting it in and out.....lefty loosey, righty tighty. :-) Thanks.

A: you need to drop the boot that surrounds the shift lever by pinching the two clips at the top of the boot to release the boot from the gearshift knob. One clip is at the front bottom edge of the shift knob and the other is at the rear side of the shift knob at the bottom edge. there are no clips on the side to release. The clips are like those on a child-proof bottle top; press in at the top of the boot as you pull the boot down. once the boot is down you can simply unscrew the knob. there aren't any lock nuts on the gearshift; simply unscrew it by rotating it to the left. you do want to make sure that whatever you replace it with has a way to keep the shift boot up at the top of the shaft and under the new knob; otherwise you'll have junk that can come up through the open hole. hope that helps

A: Trade in your S2000 for a Mustang???? Do you really have to ask this? I've driven an S2000 and absolutely loved it. Been trying to get one ever since (married w/ 2 kids) but its a little on the difficult side because it doesn't come in a 4 seater---- lol! Seriously though, you love your car. And the asking price of that 'Stang is STILL too much. For the year, it should be more in the neighborhood of $13,500. Not to mention that Mustangs are like Camry's and Accord's; they're a ton of them around! You'll be regretting your decision to trade the first week! I hope this helped.
