Q: How much would a 2001 honda s2000 cost by next summer?
Not in perfect condition, something to work on for a while then drive it for high school :D
A: between $11,000-$15,000. insurance for a high school kid, sports car, convertible, about $350-$400/month
Q: I have a 2001 Honda S2000 with 19,000 miles on it...What is causing the little hang up when shifting 4th to 5?
I don't think the transmission fluid has ever been changed and heard that could be the problem.
A: It could be that your transmission is failing. I have a 1998 Honda Civic and it did the same thing two years ago. We ended up having to replace the transmission.
Q: I am looking for a wiring diagram for the radio in my 2001 Honda S2000 car?
A: Your best bet is to buy or )check out from your local library) is a HAYNES manual they have one of the easiest to read diagrams for any make of vehicle. If that don't work try a Chilton's Manual.
Q: were can i find performance parts for a 2001 honda s2000?
i need performance parts to get my stock honda over 500 hp
i need to get my stock honda over 400 hp
A: 2kracing.com
Good luck with this. Your stock engine, that Honda claims delivers 240 horsepower probably dynos out at less than 200 hp. You want to take it to a level that delivers 500 hp...
This will require extensive mods... and the costs will reach into the five figure range.
Any bolt-ons that you can do yourself (intake, headers, catback, powerchip) may get you 15 to 20 percent more horsepower.
But for that 500 mark you are going to need camshafts, lifters, probably twin turbos, then you will need to beef up your clutch, tranny, driveline and rear axle to handle the torque. You will also need to get some serious rubber on the road to transfer all that power.
The engine will be barely streetable.
I'm not trying to be discouraging, just realistic.
Q: How many cylinders does a 2.0L 4cyl MT Yellow 2001 Honda S2000 have?
A: You answered your question....4. The blue and red ones have 4 also.
Q: 2004 Mazda RX-8 for $14,500 or 2001 Honda S2000 for $14,800?
RX-8
model year 2004
mileage 53,000
2 owners (1st owner drove 40,000miles in 2years)
Price: $14,500
S2000
model year 2001
mileage 49,200 miles
2 owners (both drove around 7000-9000miles per year)
price: $14,800
Both clean carfax and condition but I think the RX-8 is driven by a younger person and S2000 is adult driven.
Which one is a better buy??
btw I live in new jersey.
A: Get the S2000. The RX-8 is a total gas hog. The S2000 is much more efficient with fuel. The S2000 also has a more responsible owner who drove it less, and didnt run it hard. 20,000 miles in 1 year is alot for 1 year on a car. US average is 12,000 miles per year. Also, the older person who had the S2000 probably took care of maintainance alot better than the younger did with the RX8.
Also keep in mind that a Honda is alot easier to fix than a Mazda with a Rotary engine. Very few garages know how to work on Rotaries as not many cars have them. You could pay nearly double to fix things because it will take mechanics longer to figure out the problem. I'd go with the S2000 hands down. They are fun cars, you'll have a convertible (or you can buy a hard-top, they look sweet), and a great car with decent mileage and a much better past.
Q: Any opinions on the 2001 Honda S2000?
A: Fantastic car. Just make sure you take it easy if you have never driven a RWD car before. It does not handle on ice or snow at all without some very specific tire upgrades, so I hope you live in a warm area.
Stock stereo is weak, and takes some time to get used to having the car rev so high, but I like it!
Q: BMW E46 325 Ci convertible vs Honda S2000?
Hi,i want to get something sport for my next car so i narrowed my choices to a BMW E46 325 Ci 2001 year convertible or a Honda S2000 2001 year as well.Which one would you pick assuming both cost the same ,mileage is about the same (80000) and why?
A: I'd prefer the 01 BMW 325 Ci cos its a better car not because its better to drive or something (the S2000 is jus tht much more fun) but its more easier to drive and handle whereas the S2000 as pete said is a whole new world I mean Shift upwards at 9000 rpm and downshift at 7600 rpm and its very small the Interior space is nuthin' man and once the roof fall's in there not much room left for anythin in your boot where as the BMW 325 Ci looks real neat with its roof down and you can still have loads of space in the boot and its got 4 seats tht means more friends then the S2000.
All I am sayin' is if you're a professional and you can drive then the S2000 oughta be then but if you are new to the driving scene or you never drove a sports car before then I would you should go for the BMW 325 Ci the S2000 maybe sometimes else and and besides the Luxury and comfort of the BMW no way can you get it frm an S2000.
So Good Luck!!!.
Q: 2001 MR2 Spyder vs. 2002 Honda S2000 vs. 2004 Nissan 350Z?
Buying a car to tune to match the performance of my father's 2006 Cayman S.
I need: 0-60 in 4.9s, 1/4 mile in 13.1, and this thing needs to be able to handle! If I can't keep up in turns I need to be able to close the gap bit by bit in the straits.
Which of the above will be able to be tuned to this performance level providing a good balance of cost input for performance upgrades, and long-term reliability? (Of course I'm not demanding bullet-proof reliability, it's a tuner).
A: The S2000 is out. I drove a students S2000 earlier this year at an autocross school I was teaching. Brilliant handling car but I wouldn't say it had an abundance of power.
The MR2 Spyder is another one I've had a stab at on the autocross course. An interestingly balanced car especially considering the aft engine placement - unlike a Miata I could not get it to oversteer to save my life. Extremely well balanced. Again though, not a lot of power there.
The 350Z is really your only choice. This is one I've never experienced at the track though I did work for Nissan when these came out so I have a little street driving experience with them. This is probably the only car on your list with the combination of power and balance that will provide a proper starting point for you.
Q: Which one is better turbo or supercharger?
I have a 2001 honda S2000 and I am trying to figure which one to go with. I prefer the supercharger because I don't like turbo lag but I am still confused. I noticed that alot of people turbo S2000's and people rarley supercharge them. I also noticed that the S2000 has really good top end and could use some better low to mid power. So please if anyone can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks.
A: what power do you want out of your car is the question. i own a turbo s and a turbo civic, so of course im going to say turbo but i choose this for a reason. you wont make alot of power with a supercharger. you will get 300whp with a bolt on vortech maybe a more maybe less depends on supporting mods. if your looking for more above 400whp closer to 500whp go with a turbo set up and thats on stock motor with a 3mm head gasket and arp headstuds is how easy it is to make that power. tuning is key for your car.rather you supercharge or turbo your s. it what makes or breaks a car. bad tune, theres your detonation melted pistons etc etc. good tune your golden. i only deal with full race products for turbo products. there web site is www.full-race.com. now everyone will say turbo lag. and yea they lag when there a thrust bearing turbo and are huge. i have dual ball bearing gt series turbos on my car. my civic is at full boost by 3000rpm with a gt28rs and my s is full boost by 3500rpm with the gt3071, not really lag there. proof on power is at evans-tuning.com for any non believers out there under the forums. have fun either choice you will have a blast
Q: is it possible to add cylinders to the engine? if so how much would it cost?
2001 honda s2000
A: on this car this is impossible.on a rotary engine yes you can.
Q: Hey everyone, Please help me choose between these cars!?
I'm down to these cars.....
Which one should I buy?
1992 Benz S600 V12 engine 84,000miles. 428 horsepower**********
1999 Benz CL500 V8 engine 84,000miles 320 horsepower********
Both are in great shape and both are the same price $14,500
OR
1997 BMW M3 79,000 miles 240 horsepower (i think) for $15,000***********
OR 2001 Honda S2000 55,000 miles, 200 horsepower, convertible, warranty to 100,000k miles for $14,300************
Which one should I buy.
thank you for your time!
A: Honda S2000 a dependable Japanese car That takes regular 87 octane gas and is cheaper to maintain also it has lower miles and is 4 to 9 years newer and still under warranty. The Mercedes and BMW are costly to maintain and the fuel economy sucks especially when you have to pay over 40 cents a gallon more for the high octane gas and have no warranty.
Q: Which one is better?
A 2001 Honda S2000 or a 2001 Porsche Boxter S.
A: that depends on how much money you have at your disposal. If your wallet is filled to the brim I would go with the Boxter.
You are not only buying a sport car you are buying a legend!
Q: What is your favorite Honda (or Acura) other than the S2000 and NSX?
Year - Make - TRIM
ex: 2001 Odyssee LX

haha, right on, im not partial to 4 wheels!
A: the FIT is IT... Sport version in blue
2nd runner up: the Element, 06, in silver with blue composite
Q: I'm interested in a car, will I be able to get financed?
I am interested in a 2001 Honda S2000. The car is listed at a dealership for $15,995. First, is it possible to haggle the price down? Second, i've driven stick before, but i'm not totally comfortable with it, I do want to get a stick shift car though, and with practice I know I can master it, will the dealer allow me to test drive, or even BUY the car if i'm not an expert at driving stick?
Third, I am 18 and I have had a steady job for just under 7 months now making $10.38 an hour. My gross monthly is about $1500, and my credit score is reported to be 723. Would I be able to get financed without a co-signer? I realize that my interest rate will be high, but I really like the car.
Lastly, the dealer is kind of far from my home so I don't want to make multiple trips. If I was going to BUY the first time, what would I need to bring with me to Buy it?
-thanks
