A: Try holding down the 1 button if that dosen't work try another button or read the instructions book
Q: What is all that is needed to do a good tune up on my 2000 Honda S2000?
A: At 100k miles, timing belt, balancer belt, both tensioners, PS and alternator belts, spark plugs and wires.
Q: Would you buy a used 2000 Honda S2000 or a brand new Scion tc?
A: There's more to it than the make/model, but Honda has the best rep, so it depends on how many owners it's had, mileage and if maintenance records are available. If you are seriously looking at a used car, get a CarFax report on it, if one isn't included. It's $19.95 on the Internet and worth the investment. You need the VIN number to order one. Just google CarFax to get to the site.
Good luck, you have 2 good options.
Q: Which brand of cat back exhaust system would give the most horsepower and torque for a 2000 Honda S2000.?
A: HKS HI POWER IS PROBABLY YOUR BEST CHOICE
INVIDA N1 IS GREAT.
OH, AND DONT FORGET APEXI.
ALL OF THEM ARE GREAT
Q: what's faster: a honda s2000 2000 or a mustang 8 cylinders 1986 both stock?
A: Honda S2000.
0-60mph in 5.7 seconds.
Top Speed is 155mph.
1986 Mustang GT
0-60mph in 6.5 seconds.
Top Speed around 140mph.
The Honda S2000 is much lighter and more aerodynamic and has a much higher revving engine with around the same power as the old, huge, heavy V8 in the big, non aerodyanmic Mustang GT.
Q: 2000-2004 Honda S2000?
I have been looking for a S2000 but looking at pictures I have seen them in dark Blue does anyone know if this color was available in Canada
A: This might sound silly, but you can contact Honda of North America and they will be able to provide you the distribution information regarding the model and color in Canada. Although I have been up there, I can't remember if I saw one at all no less a specific color.
This Honda is my most favorite of all Hondas. I truly do hope that you find what you are looking for. I do happen to know these cars pretty well. Probably the only additional advice I could offer regarding this vehicle is that it should not be manhandled when placing in reverse.
In other words, if the car is rolling forward, it is not wise to quickly jam any manual stick into reverse. It is especially not wise with this one. The soft bronze reverse gear will take the punishment, but bronze against its steel counterpart might put up with that a couple dozen times. After that it checks out of town if you know what I mean.
A light efficient quick and even pretty fast vehicle. Honda's best power to weight ratio yet.
Q: Cheap honda upgrades?
What are some upgrades I can do to my 2000 Honda S2000? I want to raise HP without too much MPG loss.
Thanks
A: 1. Get a hole saw, and start making holes in the interior pieces of the cars sheetmetal, as many as possible.
2. gut the interior. Bolt in a lawn chair for you to sit in. Passenger chairs are optional if you want to haul a passenger, but keep in mind Passengers are dead weight!
3. Delete side glass. If you are a wimp you can put in some thin plexiglass to keep the rain out.
4. lose the spare tire.
5. remove the gas tank, reinstall a small fuel cell, it will weigh less, and will cost much less to "fill up"!
These mods are cheap and will shave the 2,835lbs down to about 2000lbs. bringing your Horsepower to weight ratio from 11.875lbs per hp to 8.333 lbs per hp, bringing you close to a Corvette which has 7.83 lbs per Hp.
Q: How much would my car insurance be?
I'm 21 years old male and I live in NJ.
I'm thinking about buying a used car and financing it.
I was looking at GEICO website and the quote came out to about $1600/year for 2000 honda S2000.
I was wondering if that amount is right.
I selected collision and comprehensive coverage along with all the other coverage options.
I thought full coverage would be much more expensive like $3000 but that is so low.
So I was wondering if that amount is right.
(I live in NJ with my uncle and my parents live in massachusetts)
A: Depends on your driving habits like have you ever been in a wreck that the your insurance carrier had to pay out for or any speeding tickets. I say that is an awesome price for that vehicle and your age, take it! Remember that is a "quote" not a set in stone bound policy...once you fill out the actual app. for the policy and they run your information you will get the accurate amount for the policy. It could either go up or down depending on those factors I stated above.
Q: Best speakers/head for an S2000?
I've got a 2000 Honda S2000 and the factory stereo is absolutely godawful. About 7 years ago I had a pretty sweet setup in my Saab; Nakamichi musicbank 6cd in-dash changer, Infinity Kappa reference speakers and a W6 in the trunk, but I'm clueless as to what's out there now and I don't want a huge sub setup; I want to keep the car light as possible.
It's got two 6.5's in the doors; that's the only stock speaker mounting point. I can have holes drilled in the door panels for tweeters and there are two spots behind the seats I can also have cut out to make space for 6.5's or something like that.
I need something with good bass and mid response (again I can just get separate tweeters) for alternative rock, metal, and electronic music that I'll still be able to hear a bit when I've got the top down and am going 70.
Thanks!
A: If you want a sub that has great clarity and is good for the music you are interested in get a jl audio w7 ten inch, or two. In that car just one will bang, but to me the more the merrier! If you want to get new door speakers and tweeters also i suggest going to crutchfield.com and put what kind of car you have into crutchfield and look for jl audio door speakers and tweeters. Crutchfield is expensive so you may want to shop around.
Q: Used Honda S2000?
So, right now I am driving a ford contour(165k miles) and I would like to get a honda s2000. I will have to get a used one, since I can not afford 35k for a new car. I was looking at some used ones and they were between 15-20k. So, I am wondering, how old should the car be? 2000, 2004, 2005? And do hondas last awhile? I need a car that will meet and exceed the 165k on the contour because I do not have the money to buy another car every 4 or 5 yrs (I am a college student and about to move out on my own). I also heard someone say not to buy used from the dealer, is this true? Any advise will help, I have never got a used car before, I have only driven the contour.
A: Buy a "Honda certified" car from the dealer do a web search for one near you. Hondas last forever and a day I had several that went over 300k and still ran. S2000s are great if you have a smaller stature. Not for the BIG (or obese) kinda cramped for me, im 5-11 but it hauls arse
Q: Whats a good first car for a 16 year old girl?
Is A 1999 Or 2000 Honda S2000 Any Good Because She Really Wants One!
A: I think that what I will propose is a good choice, but under these criteria
1-DEFINETELY NOT A FERRARI
2-Nothing with two doors
3-Nothing with a bigger engine than maybe a 2.8L
4- Nothing that is newer than 3 years old, but nothing older than 30. That met the criteria of my nephew's first car.
Ps- he was 22. I know, a bit late.
Q: Honda civic motor swap?
My friends and I have a shop we can borrow to do a swap for a 2000 honda civic ex with the internals done and boosted to 15 psi's. we all thought why not take the motor out and swap it with a new motor but we're not to sure about it yet since we got a lot of money from one of my friend's court cases. well the motor we was planing to use was a F20C (Honda s2000) We never really seen this motor done in a civic and we've been researching it and we're not sure if it would be a good fit since we never really see it done. i've seen one but he said he blew the motor 2 times and the thing is we have a budget we cant go over. do you think this would be hard or easy and how much would you say the F20C motor would cost? and some people think its a dumb idea to make a civic rear wheel drive also but we just want to be a little different than most people with civics around here.
A: Well considering you have a budget the F20 is NOT the way to go. You would have well over $15,000 just in converting the car to rear wheel drive and purchasing the motor. The motor alone is close to $5,000. Then you would have to channel the entire body from the firewall back to accept the driveshaft. After that the rear differential would have to be custom made because the S2000 has a wider wheelbase than the Civic. So there is the problem of axles having to be custom made, along with mounting issues. The next thing is the motor/tranny mounts. Being as this swap is not done you would have to have them custom made by someone who really know what they are doing because if the angle of the motor/tranny is off just 1 degree, it will tear everything apart. That being said I would suggest getting a B16A from a 99-00 Civic SI. They are readily available for around $1,500. Since you plan on building it for turbo I suggest getting a complete build from the crank up, and also very seriously consider getting it fully sleeved. Running 15 PSI is hard on an engine, even one thats half way built. Go with the Eagle rotating stroker assembly, it has the crank, pistons, rods, and bearings. It will bump the displaement up to a 1.8 liter. Next get a Cometic head gasket, VERY IMPORTANT!! Also a Greddy timing belt. Now for the head. Skunk2 intake, throttle body, stage 2 turbo cams, cam gears, valves, valve guides, valve springs, and retainers. Secure it niceley with ARP head studs. Now for fuel delivery. You will need larger injectors, around 550-750 cc. Upgrade to a walboro 255 lph fuel pump, then an AEM fuel rail, AEM fuel pressure regulator, and AEM fuel filter. Now the turbo part. I would personally suggest either a Turbonetics, or Greddy setup. They have the best products, and warranties. Personally I like the Turbonetics because their warranty covers everything INCLUDING the turbo for a full year from purchase. OK, now the electronics. Get a Greddy E-Manage Ultimate, this is the absolute best unit for the price on the market. Also a Greddy Profec E-01 boost controller will do nicely. Not only is it an awesome boost controller, but you can program the E-Mangage with it too. It also allows you to switch from low boost to high boost with the press of a button. Now all this is almost EXACTLY what I have in my car right now. I have a 99 civic EX with a B16 swap that has been built just like this. I am currently making 367 HP at the front wheels on 15 PSI for eveyday driving, and 497 HP at the wheels on 25 PSI for the drag strip. All said and done I have right at $20,000 in my car total. INCLUDING the cost of the car.

Q: Should I buy a Mercedes slk 230 a Subaru wrx (non STi) a Honda S2000 or a BMW?
im 5'10 and 21 years old. i live in the NorthEast. I dont know if i should look for something thats fast and fun to drive or something that i look good in. im looking for cars that are made from 2000-2004. i dont care about maitnance cost or insureance i just want your opinion. I also have about $15,000 to spend.
A: I'd go with the S2000 over the Mercedes SLK 230 hands down. The S2000 is more fun to drive and both car are equally useless from a praticality standpoint.
If you think you can get through the Northeast winter in an S2000 and you don't need space to haul people/stuff around, I'd get the S2000 over the WRX too. If you need the space, go with the WRX.
Can't comment on the BMW because I'm not sure what you're looking to get for $15K.
