Q: What car dealers in Pheonix will buy my 2006 Honda Ridgeline TODAY without making me trade it in on a car?
My friend in Pheonix husband died and they have a 2006 Ridgeline that he used to drive with a clear title and about 8000 miles. They don't want to deal with placing ads in papers or online and taking calls and waiting to sell it. Is there someplace they can drive to today and sell it for cash? They live near Chandler. Thanks! Yeah, I know they will get more selling it to a private party, but they want to sell it QUICK with NO hassles. THey don't mind taking a hit on the price. Thanks Jason- Thats the kind of place we're looking for!

A: CarMax will give you cash. Not much, but they'll give you some.

Q: How do you reset the maitenance reminder light on a 2006 Honda Ridgeline?

A: to set the maintenance required light you have to set the trip odometer to the display that shows the percent of the oil life that is left. Then, turn the ignition key off. Hold the trip reset button in and turn the key on. keep holding the button in. The percent remaining light will start to flash. At that point, release the trip reset button and then press it in and hold it again. After about 30 seconds (it may be up to a full minute) the oil life indicator will change to 100%. if the oil life indicator is not displayed when you turn the ignition key back on, then cycle to that display and then hold the trip reset button in without turning the key off until the light starts to flash then release the button and then push it in again and hold it until the oil life changes to 100%. the reset procedure doesn't always take on the first shot so you have to be patient. hope that helps

Q: What do you think of the 2006 Honda Ridgeline?

A: i LOVE mine. It gets decent gas mileage, and they utilized every ounce of space in that thing! Monday, I had 6 of us riding home from the airport with 7 suitcases. All the giant suitcases fit in the bed and fit 4 people in the back seat so comfortably. Its a smooth ride, the navigation and xm radio are a plus. I simply love this truck.

Q: Does the standard audio system in the 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL w/o navigation play MP3 and/or WMA CDs?

A: Do you own one? If so, just put in an mp3 disc and you'll see.

Q: do yall think a brand new 2006 honda ridgeline is good for a 16 year old?
i am turning 16 at the ned of the montha nd i am thinking about getting a honda ridge line is that good for a 16 yaer old my dad is gonna help me on the payments i am gonna get it loaded i am very resonabile my dad has a honda ridge line and i drove it it drivrs good i no the paymenys are gonna be high but i have my dad to help me pay for it i am working making a $100 a week and i need a good work truck and the the ridgeline did every thing i need un like ford chevy and toytao etc i am getting the car i hope with in a week or two

A: no, because a 16 year old shoulnd't have new car 'cause he wouldn't be responsible enough yet. im 17, and i drive a 95 honda civic. i have been involved in one minor wreck that wasn't my fault. (someone hit me while i was at a stop light) but it was a reality check that caused me to drive a lot more cautiously. my point is, wait till you have your first wreck or at least a years worth of driving experience before purchasing a new car. also, pretty much every new car deappreciates at least $5,000 once you drive it off the lot, so unless you are planning on keeping it for a long time, you will be upside down in debt (provided that you would be financing most of it) now if you don't like anything else that i said, listen to this. if you have money for the ridgeline, why not buy an S2000? os civic Si< both of those cars are way cooler than the rigdeline. PS in my humble opinion, your parents shouldn't make your payments. i think it would teach you a good work ethic if you had to make your own payments on your car. social security pays for my car because my dad died away a couple years ago. but i pay for my own insurance, gas, and most repairs. and yeah, i've worked different jobs since i was twelve years old; and one of those included owning and running my own car detailing business.

Q: I lost my only key to my 2006 Honda Ridgeline ..and was wondering...?
How do I get a spare if I dont have the original to copy I bought my truck from a used car place so i didnt get a spare..And my trucks locked so I cant get in there. What can I do my husband is pissed at me.And how much do you think your sugestions will cost? Remember its locked and there is no way we can get inside, and we dont have a warranty with Honda Where do I find the Vin#

A: Any Honda dealer can make you a key based on your VIN number. It can be expensive as Honda keys usually are "secure keys" and have remote control built-in. Give them a call. EDIT VIN NUMBER is on the dashboard on the driver side near where windshield meets the dashboard.

Q: 2006 Honda Ridgeline owners. I love the truck but the gas mileage (16-17 mpg) is killing me. Is that normal ?
In order to get the very best mileage, I don't drive faster than 65 oh the freeway, and I don't use the air conditioner. The Ridgeline is advertised at getting 21 mpg city. I eats like an 8 cyl big boy.

A: do a tune up...if that doesn't fix that then take it in. your warrenty should still be good....if they're advertising correctly. perhaps the type of gas and the place where you're getting it at?

Q: Can a Honda Ridgeline tow a Ford Explorer with a Uhaul car dolly?
I have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. It has a Class III Honda hitch. I want to tow our 1997 Ford Explorer and went to the Uhaul website to see how much a car dolly would cost. It said that the Ridgeline does not weigh enough to tow the Explorer. Honda touts it's 5000 lb towing capacity and 1500 pound total payload capacity. I don't know how much the Explorer weighs (it is a 4dr), but it seems like the truck should be able to pull it. Thank you to the first answer. I appreciate it. To the second person...$!#@ off!! 1) Sorry, if I didn't know that the weight is on the door. Guess now I know, but was it really necessary to add "lol" like I'm some kind of idiot. 2) Jealous? My Ridgeline might not be a "truck", but at least it's better than your dad's old redneck-man truck with a confederate sticker. Lol? Oh yeah, and BTW, my Explorer is not broken down...we are moving and we like to take care of our things. That is why the Explorer only has 94K miles on it and it is a 1997! Wow, those are great suggestions. I had not considered towing the Ridgeline. We've never done any towing, it just seemed to come in handy that the Ridgeline had a hitch, the Explorer does not have one. But it might be worth it to get one installed. I will be towing 2 children so I want to be safe. I don't know what an external transmission cooler is, but I am looking into it. Thanks for all the suggestions. Boy, the Ridgeline is not well liked in the truck community, huh?

A: A couple of things, U-Haul will not allow an Explorer to tow anything. Its their policy, a very stupid policy in my opinion. Another thing is that the explorer is a rear wheel drive, and with a tow dolly you run the risk of damaging the transmission. If you go to a dealer and tell them the towing combination, most likely they will tell you no. I'm sorry, just telling you what most likely will happen.

Q: should I keep or return my honda ridgeline?
Here's the scenario, I'm currently leasing a 2006 honda ridgeline, top of the line, navig, running board, rackmount..etc., down $3k, $320/months 12K mil/yr 42months lease at the end if I want to keep I'll pay a little over $19K (don't remember the exact # now). which means: $3000+ ($320x42)+19000(ish)= $35440 my lease will be end April 2009. I'll have 10 more months to go. but I'm 41K miles already. so should I keep the car & pay the $19K at the end which I end up paying about $35-$36K for this truck. OR, at the end return the car & pay for eccess mileage which is roughly another 10000milesx$0.25=$2500 + the big dent in the back I think they'll charge me around $1500. = around $4k to return the car at the end & walk out empty handed. lost $3000+(320x42)+4K=$20440 OR turn in right now & buy a new honda accord thru honda's early termination program offer letter that i got today saying wave all damage. so I lost $3000+($320x32mth)= $13,200 paid up to date. I leased in Oct, 2005 the payment is not too high for me. these are just options I want to work out see which is the best for me. Plus I want a smaller car due to current gasoline's price.

A: A and C seem like the best alternatives. It really depends how much you love the ridgeline. If you prefer it to the honda keep it, but if you like the accord buy that. in my personal opinion I think you should buy the ridgeline, Its a pretty boss Truck.

Q: How much should I expect for my Honda Ridgeline Trade in?
I'm going to be trading in my 2006 Honda Ridgeline RTL in Good condition tonight for a 2008 Honda Civic. I'm going to clean it out and wash before I go in! What can I expect their offer to be? I already negociated the price of the new car and dont want them to try and give me a low trade in because of that. I have already heared form them that trucks are not selling right now so they cant give me much, blah blah. G35_Tune, They are selling me a 2008 Honda Civic Sedan Automatic EX-L with Nav for only $21,550. MSRP is 23,095. Thats $1,545 below msrp.

A: Don't buy any car, new or used w/o reading up here: http://www.usedcartips.org/ Car values: http://www.kbb.com/

Q: i have a three and a half year pickup truck lease and would like to terminate my truck lease, any suggestions
i have a 2006 Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.

A: Talk to your dealer and find out what the ways that you can do it are. Nice work on getting into that one.

Q: Towing a car.?
I'm about to purchase a 1995 Mitsubishi 3000GT, it's lowered by 2 inches. I'm planning on towing it with a 2006 Honda Ridgeline. The Mitsubishi weighs roughly 3,200 pounds. I will be traveling from New Jersey into New York, roughly an hour and 51 minutes, and about 121 miles, according to Yahoo! Maps. What would be the best way to go about it? Any tips? This is the first time I would tow anything, let alone a vehicle I'm paying a generous amount for and that I don't want a single scratch on. Should I also cover it? How much do you think this will cost, not including gas? Thanks for the help! ^^ I can't drive the car, it's in another state, I can't get license plates, or insure it without the title and such. Wasn't planning on using a rope, that sounds like a terrible idea. I was thinking about using a professional company, but I still have to go to the guy in person to get information and actually pay him, so I figured that I would just tow it myself. The car trailers on U-Haul and such are asking for a *RIDICULOUS* amount. Advertising a rental dollie for about $160 dollars! >< One quote told me it would be $360 to get a car company to tow it, and that's open.. Which I really don't trust. For the towing equipment only, U-haul is telling me $118 dollars. Think putting a cover over it would save it from scratches and such? It's not a VR-4, and it was FWD, but it won't really matter if I get all the wheels on the dolly.

A: Towing it with just a strap attached to another car is nerve-wracking for both tower and towee. I would only recommend it for short distances and local roads, not long-distance and over interstate highways. My suggestion is to take a flight to buy the car, then drive it home. Alternately, have someone drive you to the location of the new car and then you can drive it home. Offer to pay for their gas and meals and give them something for their time.

Q: Insurance claim question?
Just purchased first vehicle...a 2006 Honda Ridgeline! Last week while at work on an oil rig a Halliburton tanker backed right into it ripping the front grill off and putting a scratch on the right front rim. Halliburtons insurance agent just called and told me to go get a few estimates on the damage (probably around the area of $3000.00). I had planned on keeping the vehicle till it reached around 85,000 miles and sell it.....so here is my question. Now that they wrecked my vehicle is it going to show as wrecked or salvaged when they run the vin # when I plan to sell it. If so should I try to get Halliburton for all their worth and where should I take the vehicle for estimates? Whole in the wall body shop or franchised dealership? Thanks for your help!

A: Most dealers do not do body work. They sub it out and then charge you with their profit added in. Ask them if they do the work themsleves before you get the quote. Anyway... Get the three estimates. Once the claim is paid it will be reported to a central system that will show the loss is they run your vin. It will show a collision claim and the amount paid. A $3000 claim will not have much affect on anything. If it was $10k it would be an issue.

Q: What car should we get our son for his 16th birthday?
He is a good kid. He has good grades, and has a lot of friends.. He has a price limit of $20,000, and we promised to double what he had. He saved up $10,000. We want to get him a car that is 0-5 years old. We have considered: The new VW Rabbit A 2006 Honda Ridgeline that we found on Carmax A 2005 Nissan Armada that we found on Carmax A new VW Jetta Which would be best? Thank you! - Also the Suzuki SX4 Crossover! - - Also the Suzuki SX4 Crossover! -

A: The Rabbit is a great choice- its low priced, comes base with power everything and side airbags, and it;ll save his life in collisions. I actually ran into an accident in my jetta, and if it wasn't for the strong bdy and side airbags, i probably would've been badly injured, if not dead. The Jetta is also nice, but will run you more on MSRP. The Suzukis have earned lowest crash test ratings of all other automakers, and the ridgeline and the armada are wayy too big for new drivers.

Q: I lost my only key to my 2006 Honda Ridgeline ..and was wondering...?
Hpw do I get a spare if I dont have the original to copy I bought my truck from a used car place so i didnt get a spare..And my trucks locked so I cant get in there.
