Q: timing chain specs for a 1996 honda passport?

A: Both engine options, 2.6L 4-cyliner and 3.2L V6 have timing belts, not chains. It is possible for the engine valves to be damaged if this belt breaks (either engine). The manufacturer recommends that the timing belt be changed at 60,000 mile intervals by a competent professional. A novice or inexperienced mechanic could cause internal engine damage if they should turn the engine during belt installation.

Q: which is a better car a 2001 honda passport or a 1996 nissan altima?
RELIABILITY AND MPG ARE HUGE FACTORS!

A: Nissan Altima is the better vehicle. The Honda Passport was built by Isuzu and is the same vehicle as the Rodeo. And the fuel consumption will be considerably better in the Nissan. However, there are factors to consider such as mileage, previous maintanance, previous environment including body repairs, etc. But as everything should be equal, the Nissan would be the first choice by a wide factor.

Driving a 1996 Honda Passport (technically, it's an Isuzu, but with Honda's logo on it). I can hear more clicking in my engine compartment than there should be, and am worried about my valves. Is there really an additive that helps, and doesn't harm? If I believe the ads, they're all the best product on the market, so I'm hoping for recommendations from those of you who have actually used the product.

A: There is an automotive line of products called,'LUCAS'. this line has satisfied me in each and every use. I have them stocked in the shop and stand behind their use! "BRILLIANT"!!!!!

Q: which is a better car a 2001 honda passport or a 1996 nissan altima?
RELIABILITY AND MPG ARE HUGE FACTORS!

A: Well the Nissan wins by a large margin in both categories. For fun, I'll tell you a little story for illustration purposes: my friend drove a 1997 Nissan Altima on some pretty windy major roads. One winter, conditions were unfavorable and she hit black ice on a turn. The car hit the curb sideways, went airborne, flipped, and landed upside down. Witnesses say it went as high as 5-10 feet in the air. The car was totaled but her first thought was, "Where's my iPod?" She got out of the car with just a bruise from the seat belt. I've been a believer in Nissan's structural integrity since then. Plus, with today's gas prices, you'll probably flinch less when you fill up the Altima than the SUV.
