Q: How do I fix my 2005 Honda Odyssey power sliding door?
The driver's sliding door won't operate automatically. I have tried the fix that is around the web where you remove fuse 13 for a while to reset the door, but it doesn't help. Has anyone had this problem with a 2005? Help.
A: I Recently had a problem with my 2000 Odyssey sliding door. Initially, the passenger side sliding door would not latch completely. But I did not fix it for sometime -- I would just push it to latch. However, after several months of doing that, the sliding door warning lights on the dashboard came on and I could not open/close the door neither from the inside, outside or via remote.
Posts elsewhere indicated that this worked on both 2000 and 2001 Honda Odyssey vans.
Suggestion #1
1.) Disable the power door switch on the left dashboard.
2.) Remove the power door fuses located under the front passenger leg area.
3.) Manually open and close both sliding doors.
4.) Restore the power door fuses located under the front passenger leg area.
5.) Enable the power door switch on the left dashboard.
6.) Try opening the sliding doors.
Suggestion #2
Remove fuse #13 (clock) for 30 seconds or more from the passenger side fusebox. This will reset the door and the clock.
it should work
Q: best remote starter for 2005 honda odyssey?
A: You can spend $200 and get a DEI www.directed.com
Or spend $50 and get a Bulldog www.bulldogsecurity.com
I have installed many of both, and the $200 one is more complicated and does the same thing as the $50 one......
And have not had any complaints from anyone .....yet!
Q: My 2005 Honda Odyssey won't start!?
Tried to start it this morning, and I'm getting no power at all. When I first put the key in, the dash lit up, and there were a couple of clicks when I turned the key. Now, when I put the key in, there are no dash lights, no clicks, nothing. Headlights won't come on either. Is this a battery issue? Hoping it's nothing more serious. :(
A: hope it's just from a door that wasn't shut all the way over night. try getting it jump started. if the van turns on, remove the positve battery cable. if it still runs, it's just the battery, if it dies, the battery is dead from a faulty alternator that had stopped charging the battery. you'll need a new battery and a new alternator. might cost you around $300-$400 for parts and repair.
Q: A/C issue with 2005 Honda Odyssey?
My AC was working, and now wants to blow warm air. Not much help now that it is summer.... Is this possibly a fuse or fluid problem that I can fix?? Any one else have a similar problem? I am with the military overseas, so a if I can do it myself, this is easier than finding a German that speaks english well enough that can fix it.
A: Most military bases have a automotive hobby shop. If not, I'm sure that one of or soldiers ( Motor Pool Type ) learned A/C systems while at home. Seek one of them out, they will be glad to help. Click on these links and read, they will help you out.
Good Luck

Q: I am looking into buying a Honda Odyssey. 2005 EXL, 55,000miles . Good deal bad deal?
they are asking 17,800
A: In my opinion, you can't beat a Honda! I've owned 25! We have 5 in the family at this time. Never had a warranty problem on any of them. In your case, if the maintenace service has been done on schedule, the body and interior is in good shape and the tires don't need to be replaced, it sounds like a good deal.

Q: chrysler town & country or honda odyssey?
I want to purchase a van but can't decide.I saw a 2005 chrysler town and country limited fully loaded (factory DVD and navigation) 86k for 13,000 and I saw a 2005 honda odyssey EXL (no navigation, has DVD but previous owner bought it,it's not from the factory) 129k for 16,000 which one should I buy? please help.
A: Both are surprisingly very good buys. However, the Honda will last longer in the long run. Granted, the mileage is extremely high on a 4-year-old minivan, but if it passes inspection by a mechanic, that's the better purchase.
Q: Do you own a 2005 or 2006 Honda Odyssey? Yes or no?
A: Yes
Q: Can someone tell me about the Honda Odyssey and should I buy one with high mileage 100,000 or more 2003-2005?
compared to Toyota Sienna with high miles also and Chevy Ventura with low miles which one should I choose
A: keep in mind that Toyota's and Honda's are a little more expensive to fix if they break down.
I would go with the American car! easier and cheaper to fix
Q: Odyssey Navigation codes?
A year ago I bought a 2005 Honda Odyssey Touring Edition and just the other night the battery dies on me. I had the battery jumped, but now the Navigation console is requiring a passcode to be entered. I have no idea what this code might be. Does anybody know what the factory default code would be and/or how to reset the code back to the default?
A: Each system has its own unique activation code.
the first place to check is inside your glove box. You are looking for a white adhesive tag that is about 1" long and 0.5 inch high. It should have 4 digit code on it. Most of the time the dealers stick the tag on the inside wall of the glove box. That four digit code is the NAVI activation code.
If you bought the car new then your dealer should have the code on file. If you call them they should be able to look it upl
I assume you looked through the paperwork and that you couldn't find the white "credit card" that has the theft codes on it. Sometimes the dealers write the number on the inside of the owners manual cover but that is not universal.
If you didn't buy the car new you can look on the back of the car to see if there is a dealer label or the original dealer name on the license plate frame and call them. They should be able to look it up from their records if you give them the vehicle identification number.
If you don't know who the original selling dealer was, you can call the local Honda distributor (American Honda in the USA 1-888-999-1009) and ask them who the retailing dealer was so that you can call them to get the code.
otherwise you have to have the navigation system removed to get the serial number off of it and that costs money.
I hope you find the code on the tag in the glovebox
hope that helps
