Q: Please where is the diagnostic point on a 1996 Honda odyssey?
I have an indicator light permanently on the dashboard. it is the shape of the engine but I was unable to locate the diagnostic point to find out what the problem is. It does not affect the functioning of the car-yet.
A: its behind the left side of the glove box. Also if you look at the bottom of your steering wheel, on the cover it will tell you the location
Q: Could a 1996 Honda Odyssey come with a chip key?
Engine isn't getting spark and I can't figure why. They gave me a "valet key" not the original. Wondering if they had the keys with chips in it back in 96?
A: No, the 1996 did not have the immobilizer system with the chip in the key. there should not be any difference with the valet key.
you have a conventional distributor on that car. the odds greatly favor a bad ignition coil as your cause of no spark.
other possibilites are a bad rotor or distributor cap, a bad ignition module or a broken timing belt. A bad crankshaft postition sensor would also cause this but they rarely if ever go bad.
check to see if the coil will arc to the cap. My guess is you have a bad ignition coil as they are common failures on the older hondas.
hope that helps

Q: How to change blinker light on 1996 Odyssey?
I need to change a burned out signal light bulb on the front of a 1996 Honda Odyssey...
I can't figure out how to get to it...
I don't see any screws on the outer plastic lens cover...
And, under the hood I don't see any way to get to the signal light.
Thanks
A: Get yourself a Haynes or Chilton manual. Seems a lot for changing a light, but you will use it many times. Well worth the expense.
Q: am looking for english version for fuse cover on a honda odyssey jap import 1996?
A: Call the local salvage yards
Q: How do you align the distributor to the cam shaft?
I am replacing the distributor on a 1996 Honda Odyssey. How do I align the new one with the cam shaft?
A: if you remove the cap before you remove the distributor, make a mark to where the rotor is. then unbolt and remove the distributor. align the marks to the new distributor and intsall your new distributor.
If you have already removed your distributor, this will be a bit harder. move your motor to TDC for the first cylinder. then using your cap to find the first cylinder's spark plug wire on the cap. install the new distirbutor with the rotor in the position of first cylinder spark plug wire.

A: Isuzu dose not make the Vtec motor only Honda in 1996 honda bough the Isuzu and put on Honda badges, so it is an Isuzu. The Isuzu came with either a 2.2L 4 cyl or a 3.2 V6
